Whether you’re ready to start your CoolSculpting treatments in Regina or you’re on the fence about whether they’re right for you, we’ve got the information you need to help you make the right decision for you.
As with any treatment, it’s important to understand how it works and what to expect ahead of time. And that includes CoolSculpting! While it’s an incredibly non-invasive treatment for targeting and eliminating fat cells, we understand it’s still important to know what to expect at your first appointment.
But first, let’s talk about exactly how it works.
How does CoolSculpting work?
CoolSculpting works by using an applicator to target specific areas with unwanted fat. Some of the common treatment areas include your chin, flanks, buttocks, inner and outer thighs, abdomen, and back.
Targeted fat cells are then frozen using controlled cooling through the applicator. After being crystallized or frozen, fat cells die. Then they are naturally flushed out by the body’s elimination processes, giving you lasting results.
You guessed it: Your targeted fat cells don’t just shrink – they’re actually eliminated!
Your first CoolSculpting appointment
At your first CoolSculpting appointment, you’ll discuss your goals with your clinician. This is also a great opportunity to ask them any questions you have about the treatment.
During a CoolSculpting procedure, you might feel intense cold, minor pulling, pinching, or aching at targeted sites. But keep in mind, these sensations generally resolve within five minutes once the area becomes numb.
After your treatment, the area may be tender and bruised, but for most patients, there is little to no downtime. You can resume your normal activities immediately.
When will you see results?
Some patients see results from their first CoolSculpting treatment as quickly as three weeks! Pretty exciting, right? But you’ll normally see the most substantial results between one and three months as your body continues to flush out frozen fat.
